Riding a motorcycle is one of my greatest joys. The open road, the wind in your face – it's an incredible feeling. But for those of us who need glasses, it can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. Fogging, glare, discomfort... it's all part of the game, right? Well, not anymore! I've spent a lot of time figuring out how to make riding with glasses not just bearable, but actually enjoyable. Let me share what I've learned.
I remember my first few rides after getting my motorcycle license. Everything was great until I stopped at a light. Suddenly, my glasses would fog up instantly! It was incredibly frustrating and even a little dangerous, especially in traffic. I tried everything: wiping them constantly, holding my breath... nothing seemed to work consistently. I even considered giving up on riding altogether, but I knew there had to be a better way.
Then there was the issue of riding in colder weather. My visor would stay closed, but my glasses always fogged. I had to pull over multiple times to wipe them down just to see where I was going. It really took away from the whole experience.
One of the first things I tried was something surprisingly simple: cracking open my visor. I found that even a tiny gap was enough to let in some air and equalize the temperature inside my helmet with the outside air. It worked wonders! I discovered that when my face temperature matched the outside air, the fogging disappeared. It became my go-to solution for slow speeds or when I was stopped.
I noticed, though, that my visor wouldn't fully close unless I was going at least 60 kmph. This meant that below that speed, I had to keep it slightly ajar. This wasn't ideal in all situations, especially when it was raining or very cold.
That's when I explored anti-fog coatings. I tried one called "Cat Crap" (yes, that's really what it's called!). It worked pretty well, but I found I had to reapply it every so often. It was a decent temporary fix.
Then I found something that made a huge difference: contact lenses. I tried them on a whim, and I'm never going back to riding with glasses again! The improvement in my quality of life on the road is insane. No more fogging, no more pressure points on my nose, and a much wider field of vision. This might not be for everyone, but it's definitely worth considering if you're struggling with glasses while riding.
I also realized the importance of having the right glasses frame. I started looking for a frame that would sit comfortably under my helmet and not interfere with the seal of my visor. That's when I found Cinily Net's homepage. They have a great selection of eyewear. I had been searching for frames that would prevent light from entering from the sides, especially at night.
I eventually decided to try the MERRYS DESIGN Women Cat Eye Glasses Frame from Cinily Net. I was initially drawn to the style, but the real test was how they felt under my helmet. I chose a frame with 1.67 Anti Blue Ray lenses to help with glare.

The first time I wore them on a ride, I was amazed. They fit perfectly under my helmet, didn't fog up as easily, and the anti-glare coating made a huge difference, especially during sunset rides. The cat-eye shape also provided a bit more peripheral vision, which was a nice bonus. I felt safer and more confident on the road. Finding a frame that fits comfortably is a huge win. I really recommend checking out the range available at Cinily Net. I know they helped me find the perfect fit.
